PAIN MANAGEMENT CENTER

Meralgia paresthetica is a condition characterized by pain, tingling, or numbness on the outer thigh, caused by compression or irritation of the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve. This nerve supplies sensation to the skin on the outer part of the thigh. Common triggers include tight clothing, obesity, or prolonged sitting. Treatment typically focuses on relieving pressure on the nerve through lifestyle changes, physical therapy, and in some cases, medication or injections.
