Failed Back Surgery Syndrome (FBSS) refers to the persistent or recurrent pain following spinal surgery, despite the surgical intervention intended to alleviate the initial problem. Patients with FBSS may experience chronic pain, numbness, stiffness, or weakness in the back or legs. Causes of FBSS can include incomplete decompression of a nerve root, surgical complications, or the formation of scar tissue. Managing FBSS often requires a multidisciplinary approach, including physical therapy, medications, pain management techniques, and in some cases, additional surgical procedures. At the ISS, our goal is to provide comprehensive care and innovative solutions to help patients achieve lasting relief and improve their quality of life.
