As the Co-Director for Innovation and Ventures at the American Academy of Pain Medicine (AAPM) and the Chair of the Committee on Innovation, he actively shapes the future of pain care. Each year he organizes and co-hosts the AAPM & MIT Hacking Medicine Innovation Challenge to showcase the cutting edge health tech start-ups in the field. Driven by a passion for progress, he collaborates with fellow experts in the field to publish the latest advancements in pain medicine, ensuring that his patients benefit from cutting-edge knowledge and techniques.
Dr. Mayrsohn’s journey to becoming a leading Comprehensive Pain Management specialist began with an interventional pain fellowship at the prestigious Tri-Institute Fellowship program that included training at renowned institutions such as Cornell University, The Hospital For Special Surgery, and Sloan Kettering Memorial Hospital. He completed his residency training in Anesthesiology at the Mount Sinai Hospital for Anesthesiology. He earned his M.D. at the University of Central Florida and an MS in Nutrition at Columbia University. He received a B.A. at Vanderbilt University and majored in Medicine Health & Society.
