Dr. Rachel Webman earned her undergraduate degree at Yale University with a BS in biophysics and biochemistry in 2006. She went to medical school at Emory University, graduating in 2011 and then completed her general surgery residency training at New York University in 2018. Dr. Webman has been active in global health since completely surgical aid trips to Haiti in 2008. Since then she has worked with surgical and medical teams in South America and East Africa. Teaching fellow surgeons and emergency room doctors Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) courses in Kigali, Rwanda in 2009 and performing vaccine research in Cochabamba, Bolivia in 2010. She has since visited and worked in clinics in Karatu, Tanzania and Kirungu, Burundi.
Since graduating from residency Dr. Webman has been in private practice with Surgical Specialist of New York caring for patients in the greater New York City area. She serves on the Medical Board for Lenox Hill Hospital as an elected representative. Dr. Webman currently lives in Manhattan with her husband and two children.
